NON-PROFIT MANAGEMENT

Robert Brown has led local, regional, national and international organizations. In each of them he identifies strengths and then develops strategies that take advantage of them. For one organization, he recognized that its core strength was organizing events, which enabled it to double revenue by organizing events for other organizations. For another, he helped it develop a strategy focused on immediate disaster recovery assistance, rather than general projects to alleviate community lack of resources. This enabled the organization to significantly increase its revenues and be of greater assistance to those in need. Recently, he was instrumental in bringing prominent international organizations in the community to a shared location where they can cooperate and create greater critical mass.

Based on his track record of successfully managing non-profits and making them more effective, he is regularly asked to lead them. His positions include:

  • American Bar Association, International Section, Vice Chair; Chair in 2018;
  • Japan/America Society of Kentucky, Chair
  • Kentucky Council on Economic Education, Board of Directors
